"Life is like a negative; use the negatives to develop."
I love that quote. So simple yet so insightful.
As much as we work at maintaining positive attitudes, a bit of 'negative' invades our lives from time to time. It's not the 'negative' that's the problem; it's how we respond to it.
We can get frustrated, angry, resentful or bitter.
Or we can adopt the admirable trait so celebrated in the lives of great people. Everything happens for a reason; each event, positive or negative, is an opportunity life provides as a stepping stone to greatness.
This kind of attitude predisposes us to ask: "What can I learn from this experience that will make me a better person?"
It's my choice.
Sound hard? Not really, provided we have determined what kind of person we want to be.
The one that others want to be around?
The one whose smile lights up a room?
The one who inspires others to greatness?
The one who knows that " people will not remember what we said to them, and they won't remember what we did, but they will remember how we made them feel."
Go ahead and choose the higher path and call out to me to follow you.
